BLUEPRINT Summer Intensive

BLUEPRINT is a two week summer intensive featuring internationally acclaimed faculty artists.

BLUEPRINT highlights the various artistic perspectives of our faculty and immerses students in an intensive experience of exploration and creativity. Participants will engage in an open space to dialogue and work in a creative process with faculty artists. The program includes intense training with up to 6 hours per day in Ballet, Contemporary, Improvisation, Hip Hop, Body Conditioning, Mind/Body Practice, and Repertoire. Daily seminars and small group discussion will provide each student mentorship, feedback, and open dialogue. The two week program culminates in a performance at Peridance’s KnJ Theater.

Choreographers 2022

Nicholas Palmquist

Nicholas Palmquist is a freelance teacher, dancer, and choreographer currently based in Germany. Nicholas has danced commercially in America for Vogue, Netflix, SNL, The Tonight Show, feature films, and the Tony Awards, in addition to live performances with American Dance Machine at the Joyce Theater and the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Nicholas has Go-Go danced for Hermes at NYFW, performed in the Kenzo x H&M collaboration with Jean Paul Gaultier, and has creative directed for Nordstrom and Vogue Mexico. In 2021, Nicholas created a world premier ballet with The Semperoper in Dresden, and has future work with Staatsballett Berlin and Ballett Schwerin. Nicholas has taught in Moscow and St. Petersburg for Context, the festival of Diana Vishneva as well as the Monterrey International Ballet Gala in Mexico, Congresso de Jazz in Brazil, and masterclasses in Paraguay, Japan, Shanghai, . Nicholas developed his unique method while on Faculty at Steps on Broadway, Peridance Center, and Broadway Dance Center in New York and focuses on musicality and self-expression. Nicholas works toward the continual evolution of this method, and he is currently interacting with the educational program, TIK!, at Staatsballett Berlin, as well as Palucca University in Dresden.

Bo Park

Bo Park is a professional choreographer and a dancer based in New York City. It has been over 10 years since she moved to New York City to pursue her dream, dance. She has worked with top choreographers such as Keone&Mari, Brian Friedman, Kyle Hanagami, Luam Keflezgy etc. Her dance credits are included Nike, Adidas, Lil Nas X, Michael Kors, Adam Lambert, MALUMA, etc. After years of teaching, she began to work as a choreographer and is still developing her creative skills. She choreographed for Virgin Voyage's Scarlet Lady, HARMONIX "Dance Central VR", Hideaway Circus "STARS ABOVE", Immersive Dance Show "Daydreamers", and recently has gotten a chance to work as an associated choreographer of "KPOP Broadway"'s Lab. Park started her own dance company "SHINSA" in 2017, created and directed 2 annual shows in New York City that had completely sold out. Her company won 1st place at one of the biggest dance competitions "ELEMENTS XIX". Teaching and mentoring dancers have been something that she values the most. She wishes to be a guidance of all dancers who are afraid to be who they are.

Mike Tyus

Mike Tyus is an Award Winning dancer, choreographer, and creative director from Los Angeles California. He has been performing and creating dance for the stage, print, and screen for over 15 years. Tyus has created branded campaigns for Vaara, Anthropologie, Veuve Clicquot, and Club Monaco. He has worked with Cirque Du Soleil in “IRIS” at the Kodak Theater in LA and “KOOZA” as “The Trickster” - “a devilish ringleader”. Tyus Joined Pilobolus Dance Theater in 2013 performing works by Sidi Larbi Cherkoui, Penn & Teller, and Isreali choreographers Inbal Pinto and Avshalom Pollack, while also creating company repertory that is still performed today. He has worked with Apple and The Broad Museum to create short dance films during a time when live performances were not possible. Tyus most recently choreographed a live dance work titled “MADRE” on Visceral Dance Chicago under the direction of Nick Pupillo. He also choreographed a Facebook spot directed by FKA Twigs and a music video for Nigerian artist Adekunle Gold. He is a founding member of Jacob Jonas The Company and an Associate Producer for Films.Dance. His print work has been featured in Vogue Italia, W Magazine, and LALA Magazine. Community and Creation are at the core of Tyus’ mission and continue to drive his efforts in crafting work that feeds the human spirit and reflects the times in which we live.

Julie Magneville

Julie Magneville is a choreographer, creative director, performer, contemporary master teacher, yoga instructor, and wellness writer. She is graduated from « ESDC Rosella Hightower », the « Lyon Conservatory » in Contemporary section as well as « The Ailey School ». She perfectes her knowledges by participating in intensive sessions with choreographers Wim Vandekeybus, Ohad Naharin, Shiro Daimon, David Hayo. She has worked with many choreographers: Donald MacKayle, Matt Mattox, Ralph Paul Haze, Larrio Ekson, Guillaume Bordier, Bruno Agati, Lionel Hun, Wilfride Piollet, Mickael Marso Riviere. Through Spring Board Montreal Project, she collaborated with Margie Gillis, David Earle, La Compagnie Flak, O Vertigo, Victor Quijadas, Gregory Dolbashian and performed in Crystal Pite’s Expectico for « Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal ». She was a soloist in « Rick Odum’s Dance Company » and performed in the world acclaimed Musical « Tarzan » choreographed by Sergio Trujillo. She is in high demand as contemporary master teacher and choreographer for prestigious institutions across the world (ESD Rosella Hightower, Académie Internationale de la danse, Studio Harmonic for the professional division, Stage School Zurich, Ganzhou Dance University, Huaqiao Performing Arts University, Peridance Center for the Certificate Program, Steps on Broadway the conservatory, Terpsichore Switzerland, Attakalari Center Bengalore...etc). She collaborates with artists from different fields such as: The Taiwanese visual/media artistIvan Liu, the French interdisciplinary artist Laurent Barnavon, the canadian Jeremy Bailey, and the director Pierre Nogueras. She stages and choreographs "The words and rhythms of desire" of Alain Héril for The TEDX. She has been choreographer for SYTYCD and So We Dance. She is the Artistic Director and Choreographer of her own company, sponsored by the Paris Opera Principal Dancer Monique Loudières. She has been decorated "honored teacher" by Huaqiao University. She has been nominated best choreographer in « MMlives » by Mia Michaels. Her first short-film " IN MEMORIUM " has been awarded " Best Choice Audience" at Sans Souci Festival of Dance Cinema, « Best Dance Choreography » at Oniros Film Awards ». She creates « The Frame » for the principal Paris Opera dancer Vincent Chaillet for " Gala des étoiles" Tour. She performs in Akram Khan 's piece "Kadamati" co-produced by Le Théâtre du Châtelet and Le Théâtre de la ville de Paris. She creates the World Tour's show of the acclaimed and singular pop-alternative singer SEVDALIZA, " The Great Hope Design", and "ADE Performance" in Amsterdam with RedbullMusic. The choreographes " The Opening Ceremony of African Games" in Rabat with Richard Attias & Associates and Withup Agency. The creates " Vertige" for the Conservatory of Steps on Broadway (NYC), and " Lost In translation" for the Certificate Program of Peridance Center(NYC). She stages " FrenchDeal " runway for the PARIS FASHION WEEK. She is involved as dancer in " Phantom Limbs" the new creation of Cie Decalage, in collaboration with Théâtre National de Chaillot, Choreodrome London and Art Council England.
